We are shocked at the sudden demise of Maulana Shamsul Alam (60) in Ajman, UAE today Wednesday, 21 September 2001. He was a great leader and social worker who relentlessly served the Rohingya communities for decades in the UAE and elsewhere.
For his honest contribution at the service of the community, he is loved, admired and respected by all strata of people. His untimely death is an irreparable loss for the entire Rohingya people. We express our sincere condolences to the members of the bereaved family, relatives and friends. May Allah grant them strength to bear the loss.
We also pray to Almighty Allah to grant him the highest status in Jannah.
