The governments of the US, UK, EU and the UN Refugee Agency will be hosting a virtual international donor conference on October 22, 2020. The United Nations has made a request for $1 billion dollars in order to meet the needs of the Rohingya refugees who are currently situated in Bangladesh as a result of the continued genocide in Burma. The goal of these governments and the UN Refugee Agency will be to bridge the gap in funds which still exists and has been exacerbated by the Covid 19 pandemic.

ARNO welcomes a high level discussion by these governments for international aid at this time. The Rohingya people are in dire needs of aid, specifically access to basic necessities such as food, water, health and education.  ARNO is hopeful that the leaders at this conference will also pointedly ask Burma why it has continued its shenanigans with regards to the Rohingya return.
