The Higher Committee for Support to the Muslims of Rohingya and the National Group for the Human Rights of Myanmar (Rohingya) Muslims has announced its extension to 200,000 dollars as the first batch of support to these Muslims after the various violations against them and withdrawal of the nationality of Myanmar from them in response to pressures exercised by the Buddhists.
At a press conference Monday at Al-Zubair Charity Institution, Chairman of the national Human Rights Group, Ibrahim Abdul-Haleem, said that the delegation of the higher committee has visited Turkey and signed an agreement with a charity organization and visited a camp of Myanmar Muslims in Bangladesh and extended different kinds of relief to Rohingya Muslims.
He said that Sudan remained one of the first countries that extend support to the affected people in the world, reminding with the support extended by Sudan to the victims of the earthquake in Pakistan, Algeria, Tsunami, a matter which in turn has a positive impact on Sudan when it received aid and support during natural disasters and wars in some of its parts.
He said that Sudan support to the Muslims in Myanmar will continue in all levels, including at the international forums till they restore their rights fully.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Support to the Rohingya, Mohamed Al-Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir, said that the Sudanese – Turkish relations are witnessing progress in all fields and resulted in the signing of a smart partnership agreement between the Sudanese Human Rights Group and a Turkish charity organization through which Sudan has extended aid to the Muslims in Myanmar.
