It is with deep sorrow that we have learned about the passing of Prof. Zakaria, son of Maulana Turab Uddin, former Executive Member of the Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO). He passed away on 12th November 2025 at 12:30 PM in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
Professor Zakaria was a devoted leader and a respected intellectual who dedicated his life to the Rohingya people’s struggle for justice, dignity, and freedom. His steadfast commitment, moral integrity, and guidance will be remembered by generations who continue his mission.
On behalf of the Arakan Rohingya National Organisation (ARNO), we extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. We pray that Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, accepts his good deeds, and grants him the highest place in Jannatul Ferdous.
May his legacy continue to inspire all Rohingyas striving for unity, peace, and rightful recognition.
